FROM SLIDESSHARE, YOUTUBE TO FACEBOOK

If you have followed my previous posts about "Using Facebook as a marketing communication: DO AND DON'T", you would have probably remembered lots of useful tips which might be necessary for your future career.

If you miss them, you can click on the following links. It just takes you few minutes but I am sure that you will learn something.

Part 2: http://socialmediawlcmmgroup1.blogspot.fi/2016/06/using-facebook-as-marketing.html

Today, I would like to suggest you a useful lesson about "How to use social media automation to improve your marketing" by Rebekah Radice and Tailwind Marketing Manager Melissa Megginson. It covers various subjects and aspects including tips and tricks to get the audience's attention and enhance your posts' quality. Let's take a look:

Slideshare: http://www.slideshare.net/postplanner/how-to-use-social-media-automation-to-improve-your-marketing/59
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AZMnhyt-Oo

In my opinion, Youtube will be an extreme channel for everybody to make money if you use it in a clever manner. In Youtube, a company can upload its advertisement or select Youtubers who are famous in its field to cooperate with in order to popularize its reputation.

I can show you an example of Supercell. This company has a lot of addicted games and I am a huge fan of Clash Royale - a product portfolio of Supercell. If you access to the main channel of Clash Royale through the following link, you will be surprised since there are few videos about tournaments or game introduction.

Clash Royale: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_F8DoJf9MZogEOU51TpTbQ/featured

You might question how they instruct new players, propose strategies to win opponents, explain each card's function and so on. They actually do by cooperating and watching videos of famous Youtubers who are willing to spend a lot of time to play the game.

If you are a fan of this game, you probably have watched  videos of Chief Pat, Gaming with Molt, Phonecatss, Nickatnyte, etc (Click here to go there). These YouTubers not only play the game but also inform new changes or updates since they get to use trial version and are informed newest changes before it is officially released to players. By watching videos from famous Youtubers, the players get much information and understand the game even better. For the company, they have better understand current players' strategies, errors and players' needs to make improvements.

Facebook is one of the popular channels for most people in the world and in Vietnam - my home country, not only teenagers but also adults are using Facebook in their daily life. Facebook can be used to share a picture, invite friends to a restaurant, arrange the locations for hanging out and so on with a simple click and tag. Moreover, Facebook is also a place for customers to share a good product in order to introduce it to their friends and family. It is an easy tool to spread information among groups . I follow several clothing stores on Facebook to know discount period then sharing this event with my friends so that I might find someone to hang out with.

Slideshare, Youtube and Twitter

http://www.slideshare.net/jeffbullas/10-steps-to-a-successful-social-media-marketing-strategy

Slideshare is a great platform where educators from different companies and schools can share educational materials. The link that is shared above will lead you to the presentation of "10 Steps to a Successful Social Media Marketing Strategy".

Youtube is the most popular global video-sharing website. People are free to post their videos which describe about what is happening everyday in the world. Youtube is one of the helpful social media marketing tool for any companies to boost their business.

Through video, companies can share their messages to viewers. For example, Toyota, Inc had introduced their very first hybrid car, Toyota Prius. Beside their product, they also wanted to spread message of protecting environment, The music, the image and the content were all good together. Hybrid car is environmentally-friendly product which can help cut down pollution.

Twitter is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets". Registered users can read and post tweets, but those who are unregistered can only read them.

Here people can tweet their status, upload videos or photos, or post poll. Besides, people can use hashtag to emphasize the issues they want to talk about. On Twitter, there is a list of trends used by hashtag so that everyone can catch up with the latest news.

People can also give feedback to the product of a company by tweeting. They can also introduce their favorite products by retweeting that company's tweets.

In my view, one of the most important characteristics of Facebook in marketing is that. Facebook uses an algorithm called  EdgeRank.” EdgeRank is the Facebook algorithm that decides which stories appear in leach user's newsfeed. The algorithm hides boring stories, so if your story doesn't score well, no one will see it. The first thing someone sees when they log into Facebook is the newsfeed.”( edgerank.net).So, companies must make sure that their posts are interesting, and people are likely to interact with it, otherwise it will not reach a high percentage of people.
When a post is uploaded by a company, Facebook initially shares this post with a small percentage of the company’s followers at Facebook, then depending on the interaction level of those people who receive that post, Edge rank will decide whether this post will be shared to more people or not. Basically, any type of interaction with that post will increase the likelihood of it being shared with more people, eventually. Interactions such as; likes, share, comments and visualization, for instance. It is important to mention that as the post gets older, it loses points the Edge Rank.
In conclusion, companies have to make sure to post, materials that people can interact with it, some post that is interesting enough for people to comment, share and like it. Otherwise, the post will not reach not even mostly of the company’s followers.

 Tesla’s Facebook page
Tesla has a quite interesting page on Facebook. They post quite often, around 2 times per day. Tesla posts several types of content such as advertising and features of their cars, article which are relevant for the company, those shared articles are made by them or other websites (for instance: Norway to 'completely ban petrol powered cars by 2025'). Tesla also post photos of their cars in many locations and photos of their events.

Tesla has around 1.5 million followers. And in my view is being successful on Facebook. Each of their post normally gets a lot of comments, share and likes. Therefore, it helps the company to create awareness for their products and create a strong brand.

Facebook and LinkedIn
Until now, I have not used Facebook/LinkedIn for search a job.

Brand yourself
It is an essential skill for basically any career. One way of branding yourself, is through providing information about yourself online (such as Facebook, linked, website or blogs) by doing that companies can get to know you better about , and get information about you when they google your name. It create a commutation channel between you and companies/clients.
In order to brand yourself, you should know how you want to be known. Plus add information that can differentiate you from the others. By branding yourself, you create value for your work, which can translate to finding a great job or getting new clients.

social media sharing sites and marketing

http://www.slideshare.net/nvechols/youtube-is-the-next-big-thing-that-already-is

This SlideShare will get you started with using YouTube as an effective marketing tool.
The SlideShare concentrates on five important areas of knowledge:

Why YouTube matters
What you should know before you get started
What you really need to know
Features to guide your strategy
Q&A

Clever example of using YouTube for sharing the company message

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MkdZZSr_iY

IKEA’s square metre challenge is a clever way of presenting the company message in video form. The square metre challenge video series is clearly planned for social media, as each episode is only three minutes long. Also all kinds of challenges have been a big thing in YouTube for a while now so IKEA is clearly on the right track.

In the video a challenge room is first planned by drawing and at the end of the video the room is shown in real life. It’s inspiring to watch how the room comes together with clever solutions. That’s what IKEA is all about, clever ideas that can make any space comfortable and practical.

The video inspires people who live in small/rented apartments not to fear decorating and at the same time it presents IKEA’s furniture without being too commercial. People will probably want to use the same products as in the video to accomplish good results.

To improve the video I would permit comments and provide links to the next episodes or other relevant material at the end of each episode. Maybe the list of used products could also be available at the description.

Pinterest - the world's catalog of ideas

Pinterest is a content sharing service that allows members to "pin" images, videos and other objects to their pinboard. Pinning content, uploading it, liking it and sharing it with others is the core of Pinterest. Pinterest is full of pictures that lead to interesting blogs, listings and online stores.

Pinterest users don’t think as badly of commercial content as other social network users. Pinterest users also by the products that they find more often than the users of any other top five social networks. After all a lot of pins lead to online stores where you can purchase the product. That’s why Pinterest is a great marketing tool.

The motivation to use Pinterest comes from collecting beautiful pictures and great ideas. For me it comes from the joy of finding new things and saving them for a later view. I used to do this even before I found out about Pinterest. I used to collect pictures and ideas from web and magazines. Pinterest just makes the same idea easier and you get to share your finds.

For me it doesn’t really matter if the content is commercial or not, as long as it provides something use full for me whether it’s a nice picture, a good video tutorial or a link to interesting website. Besides companies have a way bigger budget to create good quality content than regular users. Good quality pictures are naturally more often pinned than poor quality ones.

Networking

1) Today, almost everyone uses social media. It's also a great place for companies to market themselves. It's important to stay active and to communicate with customers. A company should take time to answer all the questions and to take every comment seriously. They should put someone in charge of social media accounts, so that it would be easier to manage. And pictures always work, so that customers can really see the product. Company can also use Facebook for advertising, but they should do it carefully. No-one likes to read only adds.

2) Lumene Finland in Facebook.
Lumene Finland is a active user of Facebook. Company posts pictures of there products, links to articles about beauty and informs customers about events and campaigns. I also noticed that they answer to customers comments and questions every time. They also take criticism seriously; they answer politely and try to explain why a certain product may not work for the customer and also try to recommend something else. I think Lumene Finland is a very good example of a company using Facebook correctly as a marketing tool.

3) I have never used Facebook or LinkedIn or any other social media in job search. Don't know why really. I don't have LinkedIn profile yet, but Facebook could probably be useful job hunting tool. In the future I should try to find something there!

4) Branding yourself is a very important part of today's world. I haven't done it myself a lot, except that I'm careful what to post and what not post. I never post pictures of me dancing in a club at two a.m. and so on. I don't think that branding is in such big role in my field (social services).

Facebook in marketing communication

Marketing in social media

Most important thing to remember in Facebook marketing: remember your brand has a voice and a target group. Focus on what kind of information your target group needs and what kind of voice should you use to stand out to them in a best way.

Other important things to remember:
  • Post regularly and have a posting schedule
  • Observe your target group to find the right timing for posting
  • Avoid being entirely self-promotional
  • Use visual elements such as pictures and videos
  • Be interactive, answer the comments and share content
  • Activate your followers with contests
  • Be inspirational
  • Use payed commercials
  • Observe how your content is succeeding

https://www.facebook.com/picnicsuomi/?fref=ts

Picnic uses Facebook to inform potential customers about their location, products, campaigns and contact info. The main reason for being in Facebook is of course getting new customers and creating a positive image for the company.

Picnic uses a lot of pictures and visual elements when informing customers. The voice they communicate in is happy and agile. Both voice and pictures inspire customers. Just looking at the pictures makes you hungry.

Picnic answers customer’s comments, also the negative ones. The rating of the restaurant is visible on the page. It gives you the feeling that they aren’t hiding anything and that they are honest.

The Facebook page succeeds well on informing customers and answering comments. From time to time they also post non-commercial content which is refreshing. Picnic posts new posts regularly, but not too often to be annoying. They have currently 106 157 likes.

Job search in social media

I have used Facebook on job search. I follow many Facebook groups that offer job opportunities and projects in media field. I think that these groups are important, but I haven’t applied to a job trough them sense most of the offers are for those who have already graduated.

I haven’t used LinkedIn in job search. I do have a LinkedIn profile, but I have forgotten to update it. I also haven’t had enough time to study how to use LinkedIn effectively in job searching.

Branding yourself

Branding yourself is an important skill. If you do it right you can have more job offers. When branding yourself you should accentuate what is special about you and your best assets. You can’t fake your brand though, or it will show trough sooner or later.

You should exploit social media when branding yourself and if you’re motivated enough, even start out your own website. It’s important to think about what are the channels that reach the employers of your field. Networking with people of your field will get you name and positive image out there.

If you don’t have time for self-branding, try to at least keep your social media clean from information you don’t want the employers to see. Also try to act appropriately while in public and meeting new people. You never know who is watching.

LET TALK BRIEFLY ABOUT TALKINGFINGER - A SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING AGENCY

If you are interested in using Facebook as a marketing tool, don't hesitate to click on the following links going directly to my previous posts. I believe that "DO and DON'T THINGS" will be a useful and practical notes for your future career.

PART 1: http://socialmediawlcmmgroup1.blogspot.fi/2016/06/using-facebook-as-marketing_13.html
PART 2: http://socialmediawlcmmgroup1.blogspot.fi/2016/06/using-facebook-as-marketing.html

In this post, let me introduce you a social media marketing agency which is a small but successful business on Facebook and has gotten lots of attention from the crowd (total fans: 3,289 and around 8,000 LIKES on Facebook pages). It is TalkingFinger :) (https://www.facebook.com/TalkingFinger/timeline)

Accessing to its Facebook page, you almost get every information about the company such as events, company detailed information, customer reviews and so on. You want to get to know more its social media channels (Twitter, Pinterest, etc), they are all included there on its Facebook pages. SUCH AWESOME!

If you would like to contact the company, there is a "Message Now" button in ABOUT section which just click on to have a private message. It might take an hour to get your answer back which is quite slow in my personal thinking but at least you get to know that your question will be responded. Further, you can even look for other reviews regarding the company's services.

By having funny, descriptive and valuable posts, TalkingFinger is getting much attentions from its potential customers.

USING FACEBOOK AS A MARKETING COMMUNICATION: DO AND DON'T (PART 2)

Let follow this post to update your checklist "do and don't" when using Facebook as a marketing communication.
7) Fill "ABOUT" section smartly
People look at your profile picture initially then reading your company's description in the about section; therefore, including useful information regarding your company business (products, your website, opening time and etc) will get more customer attention.

8) Use a trustful account
Fake accounts violate Facebook's terms and conditions -- so just don't create them. If you'd like to avoid post publishing mishaps, set up different publishing settings for different employees on your Page. Check out this help document from Facebook if you'd like to see what roles you can set for different members of your team.

9) Limit amount of your post
A recently study proved that companies with fewer than 10,000 Facebook followers received 60% fewer interactions per post when they posted 60+ times per month. Therefore, you don't need to spend too much time on Facebook posts and can spend time to finish other things.

10) Dont use multimedia posts
A research has shown that the use of visual content in Facebook campaigns can generate 65% more engagement after only one month.

11) Give a fast response to a customer's question
Whether your audience posts negative or positive comments, ignoring them only creates possible anger or disappointment. So take a few minutes out of your day to monitor your Facebook Page and respond to any issues that crop up.
12) Don't make assumption
The last thing you want is for your posts to blend in with the rest of the clutter on a customer’s News Feed. Just because a strategy works well for one industry doesn't mean it will work well for yours.

USING FACEBOOK AS A MARKETING COMMUNICATION: DO AND DON'T (PART 1)

Let follow this post to update your checklist "do and don't" when using Facebook as a marketing communication.

1) Have an identifiable profile picture
Your profile picture always locates at the top of your page and appears beside all of the posts; therefore, it is better for your company to use the company's logo as a profile picture. It helps your loyal customers to search easily and identify accurately your page.

2) Promote marketing campaigns by utilizing the combination of cover photo, pinned post, and profile CTA
Attaching a link to your landing page smartly and creatively in those mentioned things.
3) Setting your posts
The companies should try Facebook targeting tools to segment their posts which are suitable for particular groups (ages, genders, etc).
4) Use Tracking URLs and Facebook Insights to Analyze Your Page Performance
You can't improve your Facebook Page if you don't know how your posts are performing in the first place. Use tracking URLs with UTM codes to identify which posts are driving traffic and conversions to your website. And for Page-specific data such as your engagement rate per post, head over to Facebook Insights. Once you have insights from these analyses, you can tailor your content strategy to post more of what works -- and less of what doesn't.
5) Planning posting schedule
There is a specific time in a day which most of the people are searching news on Facebook. Knowing this fact will help your company schedule ahead and get more customers attention.

6) Try Using Paid Budget to Amplify Successful Organic Posts
Get better ROI for your ads by promoting content that you already know works. Putting budget behind organic content that's performing well can expand your reach and attract more people to your Page.

Blogs and wikis

Company blogs

http://www.pizzaguy.fi/

Pizza Guy is a blog written by CEO of Kotipizza. The blog won the title of Best Company blog in Finland 2015. Blogs layout is very simple and clean and the blog is easy to read. There's only one writer which, to my opinion, makes it easier to read. I like how all the posts are written at a certain style. The blog is very written openly and there's a chance to participate in open conversations. It's also been updated regularly and often.

The blog is created to inform customers about Kotipizza and it's values. It's also a place where customers can ask questions. In the blog CEO also tells stories about his food related travels and new pizza trends.

Pizza Guy represents a good company blog. It's clean, modern, informative, open and communicative. Sometimes companies go wrong and don't quite now how to blog properly. I must say that finding a bad company blog was NOT easy. I did find numerous bad blogs but those had nothing to do with companies what so ever.

I did find a blog by LähiTapiola. http://www.yrityksenomatalous.fi/uutiset/blogit.html
I'm not sure if this is entirely a BAD blog, but to me it seemed a bit difficult to read. The layout should be simpler. Now it's just confusing. Why there are so many writers or does all these writes have there own blogs? Don't get it. I also don't know to whom these posts are written.

A successful blog

http://www.rantapallo.fi/mungolife/

Anna Vanhanen from Mungolife is one of Finland's most popular lifestyle blogs and one of the few I follow myself. Mungolife started in 2007 and it quickly became popular. The writer herself says that she just started to blog at a right time. Now days there are so many blogs that you have to be either really interesting or have something different to say than others if you want to become a popular blogger.

I think that Mungolife is popular because of Anna's lifestyle. It divides opinions; others disagree with everything the blogger says or does, but still find the blog entertaining while others think Anna as their role model. And others find the blog fun and sometimes inspirational.

Anna Vanhanen makes serious money with a blog. She also has other jobs but she could easily live with the money she gets from blogging.

Business in Wikipedia

I read the article about Gefilus. I think that's a good example of a wiki which has advertising in it. There was good information about Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG but because Valio has the rights to LGG the company gets advertising. I think that the wiki would be much better if it didn't mention Valio at all OR if it came up only at the end.

Personal Experience Of Social Media Network

I have just gone through the materials about Facebook marketing communication. Facebook is the most widely used social network, where many companies have opportunity to expand their business. When a company uses Facebook, there should be consideration in creating Facebook page. In my point of view, as I used to own a Facebook page, content is the most important factor that a company must take into account to ensure the reliability. Content is not only what they say on Facebook wall, but also image icon, template and photos. Those should be added into Facebook so that people can take a look at it and they might find it informative to rely on.

I can take an example of a company using Facebook as a tool to promote their marketing, Nike, Inc.

Nike, Inc. is an American multinational corporation that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing and worldwide marketing and sales of footwear, apparel, equipment, accessories and services. I can say that Nike is the most popular sport brand in the world as not only has the company been famous in nature, but it is also doing good job in marketing, taking care customer service.

Nike, Inc. created its main Facebook page, which is called Nike. On the page, it can be seen that the whole page looks very perfect. The profile picture and cover photo are always attached with the company logo so that everybody can remember it. Besides, on Nike page, there are tabs which include overview, photos, Nike Instagram, events and videos. People can have various selection to look at the page's content. Sometimes, Nike mentions some famous sportsmen, such as Michael Jordan or Serena Williams in order to get attention from customers. In addition, Nike, Inc. uses Facebook to keep in touch with customers. They introduce their new products by uploading some videos of advertisement. It is convenient that customers can send their private message directly to Nike, Inc as well as give their review about the company.

One more interesting thing about Nike, Inc. is that the company does not have only one main page, they also own many other Facebook pages and even an app, for instance, Nike Air Max, Nike Football, NikeWomen, Nike Basketball or Nike Sportswear. The company was successful in marketing communication by updating information daily about their products and company activities. Therefore, customers can keep up with the company.

Facebook and Linkedin are my favorite social network and I have been using them for job searching. I often look for Facebook groups and join with them. I usually open those groups to keep myself updated about job information. I follow several companies in order to catch up their data.

People say experience is very important. That is why I find it necessary to brand myself in today's working life. When I apply for a job, the recruiter will look through my CV. If I am experienced enough, the recruiter may accept me and count on my ability.

I think from now on, while you are studying at university, you should spend time attending social activities as well as take part in several projects relating to your field of study. You should also understand yourself, know who you are, what you want and who you will be in the future. Moreover, you should improve your life skills by socializing with friends and working with them.

Social Media

I have been using social media for several years now. The first type of social media that I have used was probably messenger and after Facebook. Before I get into university, I barely used it for studying proposes. However, nowadays the social media platforms have improved much more, therefore giving the students the possibility to use it as a tool for studies. Once, it is a fast way to contact friends, teachers and other people. I could say that  I use quite a lot of social media; I use social media for entertainment, contact people, and study. There are several social media platforms, and normally each platform is more suitable for certain tasks, for instance, WhatsApp and Facebook for online group work and skype for video calls...
However, in my view, I am using more than I should, that is why I am reducing my usage time. At my studying life I use Facebook and WhatsApp to share and develop group assignment and at my working life, I do not use much, because my job at the moment does not require it.

In my view the social media is a very handy tool for many things, it helps people to share and contact each others. However, I still think that for some tasks such as negotiations and conversations, it is better to do it face-to-face. So, I prefer to use social media as a second option for those things.
Successful blog

http://www.naosalvo.com.br/
NãoSalvo is a humourist Brazilian blog used mostly for entertainment purpose. The contents of the blog are namely; videos produced by the owner of the blog and other funny videos, plus funny pictures. The company NãoSalvo has been creating content mostly for younger people. In the year 2012 the blog was having around 400 thousand daily access, and one interesting thing is that mostly of its accesses was direct to the website, so not through google. This normally means that the blog has loyal users. The owner of the company and blog is Mauricio Cid. He also has a channel on YouTube and a page on Facebook with around 4.1 million followers.
According to some other blog Mauricio Cid made around 900 euros per day in the year 2012.In my view, this blog has succeed  because they post new content in a daily basis and a content that I would consider as funny for Brazilians. The blogs also get  many comments in every post.

Bad wiki page

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A3o_Paulo

On those wiki pages is possible to the differences on Data when it is chosen a different language. I have chosen the wiki page of most populous state in Brazil (Sao Paulo ) which has around 44,4 million habitants , so it is a not a small state. And as was mention before some data such as population vary according to which language is chosen. In my view data such as population, density and GDP could be easily synchronised by Wikipedia, in pages for cities, countries and other contents. Because some contents are essential in any language, however, some languages get an updated version more often than others.

Wiki business

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald%27s
I have chosen a wiki page about McDonald’s, as most of the wiki pages start with some history and facts.  On the middle page, it has more specific stuff and some parts based on options. This page presented some good parts about McDonald’s and in the end some negative incidents such as criticism and some legal cases. In my view, this wiki page has some valid content but I would recommend searching from other sources too.

Blogs vs Wikis

Blog is no longer an old concept in social media world. It is the place where people make discussion or provide information published on World Wide Web. Usually, individual or group of people use blog in order to keep in touch with readers, do business or share their opinions about an issue. On blog, everybody is free to express what they think. They can appeal people to pay attention or even follow their ideas. It can be obviously seen that blog has got a big impact on social media life.

In company, IT management and marketing department are in charge of blog as they are skilled at graphic design and advertising. They work very carefully so that the company blog looks perfect and without any mistakes. Usually, the writers will use their own identity with the company name. This will increase reliability of the company.

There are two examples of a good and a bad blog.

The Official Microsoft Blog

Microsoft is one of the biggest multinational technology companies in the world. Its blog is considered one of the best company blogs. Every day, there are many posts published here. The story gives readers a closer look into the life of one team at Microsoft and how they protect data.

Foundry Network

Foundry calls its page on the SecureIT Alliance Web site a blog, but it's just a collection of press releases, product data sheets and white papers. The page contains numerous broken links and has not been updated since February 2006.

Successful blogger: Pete Cashmore
http://mashable.com/

Pete Cashmore is CEO and founder of the world famous blog Mashable, which covers anything from technology and business to social media, entertainment and lifestyle. Mashable is the largest (award winning) independent site. It is the most influential, the most read and the most popular destination for digital, social media, and technology resources and news. This generation connecting site was established in Cashmore’s bedroom in Scotland when he was only 19-years-old. Cashmore is now the youngest and almost the richest blogger in the world.

There are words which describe why Cashmore's blog, Mashable, is so successful and popular.
  • Consistent The site breaks news often and updates on a daily basis.
  • Quality Articles are well thought out and written by professional bloggers and reviewed by editors.
  • Design The website looks great and is ultra user friendly.
  • Free Twitter and Facebook guides + a directory of Twitter lists.
  • Relevant There’s something for everyone. One post is an in depth how to resource, the next features a light hearted video, followed by an infographic.
  • Innovative Mashable created Social Media Day, has a job board and an events section.
Cashmore, of course, is making serious money with the blog. Thanks to it, he earns $560,000 – $600,000 per month.

Wikipedia is a helpful site for everyone to search for information and even to do business. There are thousands of articles in numerous fields. Businessmen use Wiki as a tool to introduce their products. It is said that "Wikipedia is a great project but not a good source of information because it includes so much material which is not neutral or has marketing purpose". Personally, it is true as nothing on Wiki is absolutely precise. There should be some errors.

BlackBerry

On Wikipedia, they write in detail about BlackBerry phone, from history to usage. Many politicians are using BlackBerry, for example, Barack Obama or Hilary Clinton, due to its security. I find the article very interesting. However, until now, there are not so many customers buying BlackBerry in comparison with iPhone.

BLOGS AND WIKIS

Writing a blog is extremely useful because it is a place for you to express your opinions/thoughts, promote your business or products, help other people with your helpful information, establish an expert’s image, keep connecting with people like you, etc… Companies use the blog as a marketing tool to popularize their image, product information, stay connect with their customers and attract potential ones.

To manage one’s blog, the marketing department is suitable for this task; and should be in charge of assigning a particular group or person to update the content. The content of posts must be revised strictly before being posted to minimize useless information and faults. Furthermore, the blog is published under the company’s name so taking into consideration the company’s image in every post to avoid adverse effects.

Wiki - a social software tool and based on user-created content.

In the following of this post, I will introduce briefly to you two sides of Wiki regarding its effects on education.

Opening to all users, Wiki pages are an ultimate choice to publish new content direct to the Web, including text, images and hyperlinks. Wikis are used by students for the sake of studying through generating, mixing, editing and synthesizing subject of specific knowledge within a share and openly accessible digital space. Since Wikis enable other users to edit existing text, it is an advantage of gathering different ideas and obtaining more knowledge.

On the another hand, information on Wikis is an unreliable source for references due to an editable function. Because of enabling many authors to edit a post, your work which is published in Wiki is considered as anonymous which means no recognition for your work.

I would like to recommend a blogger (Jessica Quirk) to some of you who have a passion for casual fashion. Her blog “WhatIWore” having 10,849 subscribers is her diary about not only fashion but also various subjects (cooking, traveling and pregnancy). The blogger’s style is simple but carrying a unique point. Through the blog, she markets her book about fashion and advertises for her favorite and popular clothes’ brands such as Coach, Timex, DKNY, Lancome, etc… It is one of the ways which she makes money from blogs. The primary purpose of this blog is to offer advice and inspiration for putting together outfits that help women feel confident, positive, and ready to take on the world.

I agree with the given statement “Many say that Wikipedia is a great project but not a good source of information because it includes so much material which is not neutral or has marketing purpose” after reading the given example. As the first impression, I was expected to understand definitions, history, founders of lactobacillus rhamnosus but then realizing that it is giving an advertising for Valio.
