My Use Of Social Media

Information technology is widely used nowadays in this century, especially social media network, such as Facebook, Twitter or Youtube. My study and private life involves in using social media as a tool to complete individual tasks and to fulfil my hobbies

For studying, because sometimes I was required to work online with my group during courses, I usually open my computer and start to log in my Facebook. I think Facebook is the most common tool to communicate with my teammates. We can create a group or group chat on Messenger so that it will be easier to discuss our topics. In addition, I and my group also use Gmail to make presentation together.

On Facebook, I find some groups very helpful for me to search for materials. For example, I am studying German and there is a group called "German Language Cafe". I joined in that group and found information about meeting as well as materials for learning German. Another example, when I did not know how to register a learning website, I can go to a group and ask anybody to help me. Using Social Media in study does not consume my time so much in some cases because everything I need is there. On the other hand, it may take me a lot of time to wait for answers from the others. I use social media daily and I spend about 1-2 hours to study online. 

I am interested in social media due to its usefulness, but I am not addicted to it. In my point of view, there are advantages and disadvantages when using social media as a tool for study. Absolutely, nothing is completely true in the Internet. I have to consider very carefully about my way of using social media. I do not want to be dependent of it. I want to use it in flexible way.

In my private life, I use social media for chatting with my family and my friends as well as reading news. I find it interesting to watch videos about animals or famous people. I feel very relaxed when I watch parodies and comics. Besides, I also read news about my favorite singers. I want to know what they have done and what they will do in near future. In my working life, I am very serious when using social media because I know that social media for working is a tool to help me finish my tasks. I never let myself use social media as entertainment tool while working. I will make use of social media to discuss with my teammates, search for resources and write my report. I have my own Linkedin account and I really appreciate its site. I can look for jobs on that and find people who have the same working background with me,

Thanks to social media, I find it easy to do my work, talk with people and learn something new. I will continue to use social media as a useful for my daily life.
